The Boys are Back in Town
Classic Country Drive Campaign
Adelaide Hills Tourism is undertaking a major marketing campaign called the Adelaide Hills Classic Country Drive.
This new campaign, which was launched this month, is aimed at the interstate and local Adelaide markets and encourages potential visitors to explore more of the region on day trips and to stay in the region for three nights during the autumn/winter period.
Regional Tourism Manager, Dean Bagley says the key experience to be promoted is the romance of a classic country drive through the picturesque Adelaide Hills.
"This drive is an experience in itself and also links to food and wine, attractions and nature experiences in the region," he says.
"The region has a long term affiliation with motoring through the National Motor Museum at Birdwood, the Bay to Birdwood Classic event, the Lobethal Grand Carnival and the Classic Adelaide."
The two main elements of the campaign are:
1. A value-added holiday package in the Adelaide Hills, including four-day hire car, three nights' accommodation, a Cellar Door Pass, a Wine and Cheese Trail Pass and a take home cooler bag (filled with cheese from Udder Delights).
2. A six-page brochure featuring four suggested drives and special 'two-for-one' discount vouchers for businesses around the Adelaide Hills. The brochure and vouchers will be distributed around Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills and will be included in the package.
The campaign will be advertised in local newspapers and radio and will be featured on the Adelaide Hills website (www.visitadelaidehills.com.au).
